Happy Friday, Stingrays!

Just wanted to send out a note to everyone explaining an event that is quickly approaching!

On TUESDAY, 5/23, we will have our first "meet"...It will be a mock meet, meaning a few things:

1. No "opposing" team will be present...it will be just our swimmers at the meet.

2. Swimmers will participate in almost all individual events.  Normally, swimmers under aged 3-10 can only swim in 2 individual events and swimmers aged 11-18 can swim in 3 events.  This meet, however, we will have swimmers compete in all events we believe they can complete without being "disqualified".

3. There will be no relays at this meet.

4. We will move quickly! Please bring at least water and 2 towels for your swimmer, as they will need one to sit on (no chairs for swimmers), and one to dry off with.  Also bring cap, goggles, and chairs for adults...ALTHOUGH, we will need parents to help with timing, stroke judging, etc...so you may not need chairs! 

Here's the format for Tuesday:

5:15pm    Swimmers arrive

5:30pm    Warm-ups begin

5:45pm    Meet begins

Individual Medleys (11-12 Girls, 11-12 Boys, 13-14 Girls, etc...)

Freestyle (6 & Unders first, then 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, etc...)

Breaststroke (6 & Unders first, then 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, etc...)

Backstroke (6 & Unders first, then 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, etc...)

Butterfly (6 & Unders first, then 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, etc...)

Meet is estimated to end around 7:30pm...Since this is the first meet of the season, it is hard to know EXACTLY when we will finish...but our goal is to get everyone home at a reasonable hour, as we know this is a school night.

HERE IS WHAT YOU NEED TO DO:

DECLARE YOUR SWIMMER!  Here's how:

***PLEASE "DECLARE" YOUR SWIMMERS FOR THE MEET ON TUESDAY! I NEED TO KNOW WHO WILL BE COMPETING AT THE MEET! For those of you who are new (or forgot from last year):

• Log in to your account on our website
• Click on "TEAM SCHEDULE"
• Choose May 23 meet
• Click on green box "MEET ENTRY"
• Click "EDIT"
• Choose "attending" or "not attending"

THIS NEEDS TO BE DONE BY SUNDAY AT NOON, AT THE LATEST!!!

ONE MORE REMINDER:

Texas Swim Shop will be at the pool on Thursday, 5/25/23 from 5:15-6:30 pm to sell team swim suits!!!
