Hello Stingray Family!

We are now two weeks in to the season and practices are going swimmingly!  Kiddos seem to be enjoying themselves and we are seeing definite improvement!

We are less than two weeks away from our first meet (CRAZY!!) and we have lots of information to share with all of you regarding swim meets and how they work! It is A LOT of information, but will help make the season run smoothly if we are all understanding how Sharpstown Swim Team (SST) works! I have found that the best way to share this info is to meet in person.  So, we will meet tomorrow night at 6:00 (while some of the swimmers are in the water). Please try to send at least one parent to practice Thursday, May 16 at 6:00pm.  I will send out information via email later, but you will definitely learn more if you are present.

A FEW THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW:

• PARENT MEETING 5/16/24 6pm
• SWIM CAPS ARE REQUIRED for anyone with hair past their ears. We have team caps for sale at practices, but any swim cap will be fine!
• WE NEED STROKE JUDGES! We currently only have ONE stroke judge available for this season! We need four to six at each meet. If you are willing to be a stroke judge at our meets this season, there are only a few courses left.  If you were a judge last year, you only need to take the "short" clinic, which can now be taken online...ask me how or see Mike's earlier email. If you have never taken the course, you will need to take the "LONG clinic" which is approximately 2 hours.  There are three remaining classes:
