Hello Stingray Family!

Last night was a super fun meet!  Yes, we came in SECOND PLACE, but we had LOTS of swimmers improve their times and try new strokes! AND we finished by 8:20pm! 

A few items that we need to address:

1. IF YOUR AVAILABILITY CHANGES and you/your swimmer can no longer attend the meet after you have signed up to attend, I DESPERATELY NEED TO BE NOTIFIED. Example of why it's so important: Last night, there were 4 swimmers who either did not come to the meet at all, came very late, or left early, without letting me or Graham or Alyssa know.  All of these swimmers had been entered in relays. When their relay was scheduled to compete, these 4 swimmers (all on different relay teams) were not at the meet, causing the other 3 relay team members not to have a fourth swimmer. Unfortunately, that meant that 12 swimmers who were there, ready to compete, did not get to participate in their relays.  If I had known about these absences ahead of time, I could have asked other swimmers to stay and swim or I could have planned for the other 12 swimmers to compete in other events. Hope this makes sense and explains why it TRULY is important that I know who is coming to meets, who will be late, and who needs to leave early! 

2. IF YOU ARE GOING TO BE LATE OR NOT ABLE TO ATTEND, you will need to text me (713-301-1417).  I have to turn in entries by Sunday afternoon, so if anything changes in your family after Sunday at noon, I need to be notified by text (not email), to ensure that I see the message.

3. PLEASE KEEP IN MIND that all parents who are helping get swimmers ready for races are VOLUNTEERS and are following the heat sheets that we coaches have provided them.  IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS OR CONCERNS regarding why your child is or is not swimming in an event, you need to ask a COACH...not a volunteer parent! 

4. PRACTICE TIMES have changed! We are now in June.  Check the website for the June schedule!

5. TEAM PARTY DETAILS TO BE ANNOUNCED SOON.  Please save Sunday, June 29, 3:00-5:00pm!

6. SWIM A LONG WILL BE THURSDAY, JUNE 12.  Start getting pledges and we'll send out more information soon!

7. LASTLY, DONUT FRIDAYS start this Friday, June 6. Please sign up to bring donuts, if you are willing and able!
